Put a Monocle On It: A Collection of Critters with Style and Personality is a collection of my monocle series including a bio of each character. Find yourself and your friends in the collection; are you an Ernest? Is your roommate such a Bradley? Find your monocle match!
Of all the scientific facts I know, this one is the most important: Everything looks smarter and slightly more pretentious with a monocle.
This series of fifty animals was an illustration experiment to support this research. Once these characters donned a monocle and stared back at me from the paper, their personalities immediately came to life.
I finished this series a while ago and have sold many of the characters as art prints. I would often tell people that each one had a name and a bio to go with it, but never really devised a great way to aesthetically combine the text with the art.
This book will be the first time the entire series is available as a collection with their names and bios included. I’m so excited to offer the whole gang together in a full color, perfect bound book with a laminated soft cover!
