Forget Ocean’s 8, It’s Hatch Tribe’s 29

Hatch Tribe published its “29 Successful Female Entrepreneurs You Ought to Know” this month, and I was absolutely honored to be chosen as one of the 29. For those of you who may not know, Hatch Tribe is a professional organization, founded by Hilary Johnson, for women entrepreneurs where they can not only network with each other but learn from each other, empower each other, and help each other become more successful in all facets of their lives. This group was incredibly influential and beneficial to me in my journey to develop and grow my business.

As a solo entrepreneur, I spend a lot of days alone in my office. Sometimes, this can make you feel alone in the world and on the bad days you might start letting the doubts and insecurities creep in. “Why am I doing this?” “Does this even matter?” “Do I suck??”

Discovering Hatch Tribe and meeting these wonderful ladies not only helped my business, but it incredibly helped my heart. For the first time in my career, I met other women choosing the same path as me. Although we might be in different industries across the board, we all share common stresses and insecurities about it all. Finding these like-minded women gave me comfort. Turns out I’m not crazy – I’m just an entrepreneur who gets excited, overwhelmed, fulfilled, and wakes up the next day to do it all over again.

This list of 29 includes women of all ages and talents. These are women who have met all kinds of obstacles but charged through them and found light on the other side. Many are still on this journey and have no intentions of slowing down. These women show us that there is not a set place or path for women…that we must all find our path and make our place in the world. Hatch Tribe does its best to make sure no one feels alone on that path and that they have the tools necessary to set it ablaze.

Please read about these inspiring women and seek your tribe!

If you yourself are an entrepreneur or interested in being one, I highly recommend checking out Hatch Tribe for it’s amazing people and resources. There are often local meet ups in Charleston, and there’s the Member’s Circle, where you can connect no matter where you live!
